Voices

Sleepless nights,
Scavenging thoughts,
Eyes open,
Unclear films;
Tomorrow is untold,
We live by the oracle.

Hunger defies the soul,
Presentiments distorts the mind,
Consciousness neglect vessels,
Righteousness falls astray;
These voices have a void to fill.

Blood seemed not lethal,
Guns meant no evil,
Hell's chuckles broke loose,
Heaven existed not,
Our minds were held captive,
We lived here.

Silence,
We listened accordingly,
Johannesburg was declared our own,
Scampered through the streets,
Loped down our preys,
Cleared throats to flesh,
Preyed on the innocent,
Possessed every breath,
Satisfied the urge;
We found peace in these voices.

I Live To See

I live to see clouds fall in love,
Flames burn to dust,
Skies fall to earth,
Angels go physical,
Heaven descend to earth,
Dreams come true;
I live to see Good.

Ends Meet

Tears flooding my eyes,
Sweat drowning my heart,
Though this journey has to end now,
Ends will always meet,
To the very same oak tree we met,
We shall revisit its roots yet again,
We shall resuscitate jubilant memories;
Cause its bark still lingers with our first kiss.

Circumstances bring us apart,
Phobia of loneliness reveals my true intentions,
I love you more than ever;
It must be the fear of living without you.

I fenced your body with tears that brought me to my knees,
Built a home in your heart,
It shall remain ours.

Behind I leave nothing but treasured memories and a key to our future,
We will meet again,
We'll kiss again,
Hold hands again,
But when we do;
I hope my scent will linger still,
I hope the key to my heart will unlock our destiny,
I hope our bruised love will revive,
I hope our memories will remain unaltered,
I hope I'll still have a place to call home,
Fore ends will meet.

Candles in the Sun

Dazed thunder waves,
Thin scrambled air,
Cripple stumbled days,
Peace soothing sounds;
Nature hears of one,
Birds sing back memories,
Blew one out in the first days,
Eyes glow still in the last days,
Coaxing voice of nature bringing humanity to cohesion,
Confirmation of the last days remains unclear.

Attitude

Hours late,
Expectations came unreserved,
Molecules broken in undefined elements,
Her heart is still reserved.

Mind pounding,
Heart escalating,
Fragile feelings down loose,
She craves the untold.

Heart securities locked,
Password stimulated,
Mind distorted,
If only anxiety evaporated curiosity.

Truth untold,
Attitude undefined,
Shattered dreams never puzzled,
Her future lands in the blind...

If only,
If only her attitude didn't speak louder than her words,
If only,
If only her smile dressed up better than her heart.

Tell Me When It Kicks In

Vaccination of intoxicated chemicals to appease humans in distress,
Quenched thirst of thick blood which past generations lost their souls trying to impress,
Injection of whonga into veins that will to be relaxed,
Monuments of forbidden memories man wish to neglect,
Popping bottles day-after-day to avoid sleepless nights in hell,
Battling with the distorted reality that you might if you had,
Looking back at the furnished bricks you laid while you could,
Brings anxiety and hallucination from the mixture you inhaled because you willed.

Tell Me When It Kicks In

Conflicts in parliament-you laying there it doesn't affect you,
Derailed hopes and dreams in motion-you settled it doesn't affect you,
Escalation of crimes and tribalism in progress-you Western it doesn't affect you,
Xenophobic attacks degrading human dignity-you South African it doesn't affect you,
Tax invasion among our leaders leaving the poor astray-you have food on the table it doesn't affect you,
Violence and the killing of other humans taking place leaving open wounds with yellows puss-you have your whole family intact it doesn't affect you,
Children smoking marijuana at an early stage with the idea of gaining intellect-your children are clean it doesn't affect,
Foreign countries buying their way into our country testing nuclear explosives polluting our air and sea-your water is clean it doesn't affect you.

Tell Me When It Kicks In

Being in conflict with the idea of your mom not returning from work,
Loosing family members now that you care about society instead before,
Crying yourself to sleep because the food you ate is now on someone's table,
Walking the streets with empty pockets cause your hustle has now been depleted,
Digging into recycle bins cause the grant that kept your stomach busy feeds the rich,
Staggering the streets in caution, living with the fear that the same children you let turn into junkies will lead you to the morgue,
International family members living in the fear of their Right to Life being exploited;

Tell Me When It Kicks In

I know it does now,
South Africa we in this together,
It might not affect you now but the measles always come back to hit you.
This is your home,
Every child in need is your own,
Unite and do not live in despair,
Fore what happens today determines our tomorrow,
Rome wasn't built in one day,
We can too.

21 days of Activism

I lay a fake smile,
Every inch of good kills me inside,
Every imposed thought conflicts my sight,
I lost beauty in creativity,
Endless days have shredded my destiny.

Deceit to beloved crumbles down my thighs,
Ascension to hatred cripples up my neck,
Every limb of my body itch to detonate humanity,
Every atom of this being seeks to relieve stress in pain.
Every sin has led me to my father's past,
My mother's blemishes haunt me still;
I live that life now.

Men live to serve and protect,
And as the winter breeze dazzles through the streets,
Violence roams discretely in our homes.

Abusers role play in vain,
Toxic drops strain their veins;
These are the breadwinners,
Peace seekers,
Soul wreckers,
Lone rangers,

While women are;
The hidden pillars,
The peace makers,
The un-caged rib,
The contagious,
The strengtheners,
The antics,
The fulfilling image of men

Now,
When will the hand of men bow,
When will the left cheek fight back,
When will beauty stay un-tempered,
When will we rise against woman abuse,
When will us.

Do You Remember?

Remember the days when the sun hid its face behind your eyelids,
When rain drops were the only liquid I could merge with yours,
Where the sound of birds was the only sign of your happiness,
Where the range of climate change determined the pace of your tears,
Where nature was the only neighbours we shared,
Where love was the only thing that drove us insane,
Where the shining of stars reminded us of our existence;
Remember those days,
Do you picture me in those memories still?
I was there, remember?

Days Never End

I crawled to the shore this other day,
I wished the cremated remains of you could be revived back to life again,
I wished the scattered winter stricken leaves would linger with your scent still.

I sleep longing to bring promised treasures to life.
I lived,
Yesterday prompted tomorrow shall be all good,
Heart drenched in regrets, I still believed the future brought peace,
I still wished loose ends could puzzle up my mystery.

My sorrows are still not destined for any good,
Your faded presence has become my misery,
Your extinguished dreams have targeted my own,
Heaven has let open tragedy instead of guiding my ways,
Heavenly father's voice taunts thy ear lopes but his intentions I still project.

I find no comfort in your retaliating spirit,
You ought to protect me,
But your mother's cries still revive the unpleasant guilt in me.

I could have been there for you,
I should have been there,
I should have been there till the end of our days.
